Unshaved Hair Transplant

Hair loss, which negatively affects both men and women, can be caused by stress, seasonal changes, hormonal disorders, iron deficiency, excessive use of cosmetics and many other reasons. Although it is normal to lose a certain number of hair strands every day due to trauma and washing, if hair loss is serious, hair transplantation may be necessary.

Unshaved hair transplantation is one of the most preferred methods in case of a general sparseness or partial loss in the hair front line, only in the crown area or in various parts of the head. In this context, hair follicles taken from the hairy donor area are transplanted to the areas where there is thinning or loss.

In this way, people with thinning hair or hair loss due to various reasons can have lush, healthy and natural hair. People who undergo unshaven hair transplantation do not experience any interruption in their work or private lives. Unshaved hair transplantation is an effective method for people who want to complete the time they need to hide that they have a hair transplant and renew their image without interrupting their daily life.

What is Unshaved Hair Transplantation?

Unshaved hair transplantation is a hair transplantation method in which the procedure is completed without shaving the donor area and the area to be transplanted. It is one of the methods suitable for people who want to have a hair transplant but also want to preserve their appearance. People who undergo unshaven hair transplantation have the advantage of continuing their social and business life without any interruption.

Who Is Unshaved Hair Transplantation Suitable For?

Unshaved hair transplantation is generally preferred in cases where it is not necessary to transplant too many hair follicles. Unshaven hair transplantation is not preferred if a very large area or too many hair follicles need to be used. In order to decide whether unshaven hair transplantation is suitable for the person, the area to be transplanted, hair follicles and hair structure should be examined. If more than 3,000 grafts are needed, unshaven hair transplantation may not be suitable.

Unshaven hair transplantation can be performed for people who do not have a very high number of grafts, as well as for people who need intermediate tightening. The most important point to be considered is that there is sufficient donor area in the person to be treated.

How Is Unshaved Hair Transplantation Performed?

The first step of unshaven hair transplantation is shaving in the nape area in the form of two strips, one finger thick and horizontally. After the donor area is shaved, hair follicles are taken with the FUE technique. Sapphire FUE technique is used to transplant the area with hair thinning or hair loss. For this purpose, smooth and very small micro-channels are opened with special sapphire tips in the area to be transplanted. The collected follicles are transplanted into these channels in an extremely accurate manner. During the transplantation, the structure and natural growth direction of the hair follicles should be taken into consideration and transplantation should be performed accordingly.

Recovery Process After Unshaven Hair Transplantation

In the unshaven hair transplantation method, only the donor area on the nape of the neck is shaved instead of the entire hair, so the person does not feel the need to wait for the hair to grow. However, it is recommended to rest for a few days after the application. In order to have a healthy healing process, the doctor's recommendations should be followed completely. In the first 3 days after unshaven hair transplantation, care should be taken not to touch the application area, not to scratch the area and to prefer a slightly upright position while lying down.

The transplanted hair follicles grow in a natural process and usually begin to grow within 3 months. Although there is a noticeable difference in an average of 6 months after unshaven hair transplantation, the final results of the application usually begin to be seen after 1 year.
